Description
Cyclosporine (sai·kluh·spaw·ruhn) is an oral tablet for to dogs who suffer from allergic dermatitis. This is very common in canines with allergies, and can cause their skin to become uncomfortably itchy, red and scaly. Cyclosporine targets the root of the problem to help relieve itching, so your companion no longer feels the need to incessantly scratch, rub or lick.

Warnings
Do not use in dogs with a history of neoplasia, with a hypersensitivity to cyclosporine, or in reproducing dogs. Cyclosporine is a systemic immunosuppressant that may increase susceptibility to infection and development of neoplasia. For use only in dogs. Capsules should not be broken or opened. Wear gloves during administration and wash hands after administration. Gastrointestinal problems and gingival hyperplasia may occur at the initial dose.
Precautions
The safety established in dogs less than 6 months of age or less than 4 lbs body weight.
Do not for use in breeding dogs, or in those who are pregnant or lactating.
Cyclosporine is contraindicated for use in dogs with a history of neoplasia. Do not use in dogs with a hypersensitivity to cyclosporine.

Side Effects
Possible Side Effects
Vomiting and diarrhea were the most common adverse reactions. In most cases, signs spontaneously resolved with continued dosing. In other cases, temporary dose modifications (brief interruption in dosing, divided dosing, or administration with a small amount of food) were employed to resolve signs.
